It truly is Something Wonderful!

M. Clarke has done it once again! Something Wonderful is an amazing follow up to Something Great. Not only do we have we get to see how Max and Jeanella are doing, but we also get to see Max's yummy brother, Matt as struggles with and accepts his feelings for Becky.
The way M. Clarke intertwined the two love stories makes for a very difficult to put down read and what made it really shine in a market with so many NA reads. We get to see how Jeanella's youthful innocence impacts her relationship in both positive and negative ways at the same time we get to see how the tragedy that forced Becky in many ways "grow up" impacted hers. Of course there is the added bonus of the two super hot Knight boys.
I do not recommend reading this book without reading Something Great.You can probably catch on to the story pretty quickly, but the underlying emotions that rule their decisions and actions will be missing. I keep going back and forth on whether or not I like this one or book one better. I am going to deem it a tie. I will say that the book begins with a heart crushing scene that will leave you bawling, but I promise you it is all uphill from there.
Something wonderful is sweet, hot, emotional, fun, and well written. I am very much looking forward to the next book in this series!

ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER!!!!

I certainly would have rated this higher had it not been a cliffhanger. THE NEXT BOOK ISN'T OUT UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST!!!! It's unfortunate because it's a good book with captivating characters. Is it not possible for an author to COMPLETE the ENTIRE book and then release it piecemeal, maybe in one month intervals? These cliffhangers seem to be the norm and, in truth, are detrimental to the flow of the story. By August, I won't remember this book nor will I care about it. There have been so many books that I've loved whose epilogues have become anticlimactic when they're finally released.......just another one to add to that list.

Just when I was sure that the extraordinary story in Something Great couldn't possibly get any better, here comes Something Wonderful rushing in behind it to completely obliterate that careless thought. I am left speechless and breathless in the wake of this sweeping and staggering romance that will shatter your finest daydreams and leave them envious of the passion and exquisiteness found within the pages of this tour de force.
Becky and Jenna have been roommates since college. They have been left battered and scared from the trials that they have had to face, and yet they still yearn for what all women need - to be wanted, to be loved, and to be cherished. They find everything that they could ever need and want standing in front of them in the form of Matthew and Maxwell Knight, and yet they can't help but push them away seeing them as a mirage of the deepest longings of their heart and soul. However, these two men must learn to battle their own fears and hurts if they are to open the eyes of the women who have already claimed their hearts to the unstoppable force and passionate depth of their love and devotion for them. What begins as a whirlwind romance will end up as a no-holds-barred-I-am-in-this-for-life pursuit for their hearts. In the end, one will have to pass the ultimate test of her character while the other will have to choose whether or not to surrender her heart to a love that only appears once in a lifetime.
I was utterly in awe as I watched the stunning metamorphosis of not just one but two beautiful women who deserved only the best but instead were handed its leftovers. Becky and Jenna couldn't be more different from the other, but they have come to form a strong and powerful bond of friendship over the years. It is this bond that allows them to open up and honestly help the other begin to heal and to learn that who they are is not even close to who they want to be. Through a compassionate act of fate, they are both given a glimpse of what they could have in the pure love and fierce passion that Max and Matthew Knight shower them with. Becky fights her feelings for Matthew for fear of further damage to her already fragile heart while Jenna must do what she fears the most in order to claim Max before she loses him forever.
Max and Matthew have their own battles to face in this journey before they can begin to heal the women they love. They too have to decide how much they are willing to risk to keep the women they can't live without from disappearing from their lives forever. Will Matthew be able to recover his stolen heart before it's too late, or will he surrender it completely and claim Becky's at the same time? Is Max ready to watch his forever with Jenna drown in a sea of secrets, or will he conquer his demons and claim the only woman who has made him think of the future?
This is one love story that will melt any heart of stone and make you see the virtue in living life feeling with your heart instead of thinking with your head. The love expressed in the pages of this book is both exhilarating and aggressive. It is not one to be taken lightly, and it is one that will stay with you for a very long time. If you ever find a love like this in your life, I advice that you hold on tight and do all that you can to never let it go. Do not allow yourself to live with the regrets of what ifs that will slowly empty your heart and cause it to grow bitter with want and need. Instead, dare to risk it all in order to claim your something wonderful.
