Ken Carey's has transcribed a book from the celestial realm that contains pearls of wisdom that I found unparalled in 30 yrs of metaphysical reading and searching. I am reading it for the third time; right around Christmas each year. As the New Millenium dawns, this wondrous message contained within becomes more clear and explicit as time unfolds... We are at a crossroads of mankinds future in the next 12 yrs. Our consciousness will spell the story of what happens to this earth and to all of us upon it. If you want to know what road to place your feet upon, this is the best book I have read to show you that the true answers lie within... Ken Carey is a virtual unknown prophet in our time... I dont understand why this book isnt on the best seller list with "Conversations With God".... Read this book. It will change your life.

Still, the best book I have ever read in my life

Ken Carey claims to have been visited by angelic or other dimensional spirits which gave him the words for this book (and his other books as well). I have read this book countless times and I have come to the conclusion that either Ken Carey is one of the great literary geniuses of our time or he indeed was visited by higher dimensional beings.
Please do not mistake this book for new age fluff. It is written so beautifully and contains so much wisdom that you have to believe that this came from a 'higher source.'
I have recommended this book to people of all walks of life. Even the most stringent of intellectuals, and they have been at least impressed with it's literary style.
There is a lot of doom and gloom in the world today. I admit, I struggle myself with coming to grips with prophecy (biblical and others). There are a lot of people and organizations competing for your attention.
However, if you are a person of faith, I suggest you first pray for peace, wisdom, and enlightment for the world (according to your faith) and I also suggest you read this book. It is a glimpse to the beautiful potential of the human race presented in a manner that continues to inspire a hopeful outlook for me even today.

An Inspired Message- A TRUE MASTERPIECE

I first read this book when it was released in the early 1990's yet it remains as fresh and inspirational as it was the day I first bought it. Ken Carey has tapped into that source of spiritual wisdom that all of us have access to, but few of us ever focus enough to receive. I have read this book countless times. Every time I read it I find myself inspired in new ways like never before. The language and prose are breathtaking. Ken Carey has a marvelous message that is most effective when it is felt emotionally as much it is understood intellectually. Maximum benefit requires both an open mind and an open heart. Its message is simple, yet powerful. I have read hundreds and hundreds of spiritual books and if I were forced to chose to keep only one of them, I would pick this book.

A very nice structure for learning the basics of a language in a short time interval.

I like Frederick Dodson's approach, because it actually lays out a plan to acquire an 800 key word vocabulary in about 40 hours of study. You will need to get some resources for your target language. I recommend native speaker audio to learn pronunciation. A simplified grammar will also be useful for understanding basic sentence structure and verb morphology. I also like that the goal of this plan is not fluency, but, rather, basic facility. A reasonable goal, with a road map.

Learning a language in five days, enough to get by, isn't impossible. It is far easier, however, with a book that exists as physical pages. This one seems to only be available in Kindle. That sounds great, until you have to transcribe it into paper, to put it to use. Please put this out as a physical book. Thanks. Yes, it's a good book, it needs to be available as a physical book.

Fascinating!

I have read this twice now and both times read it really fast. The author is so frank about her life, and her writing voice is so authentic, it would be a really interesting read even without the fascinating material related to entities. It is really more of a memoir "My LIfe with Entitities" rather than a book about entities, which is why I didn't give it a top rating. It's still quite informative, and I especially liked the transcript at the end from one of the author's classes. I also found that I got more out of it after I'd learned more about entities, and had more personal experience with them. As an intro to the world of entities it also makes a huge contribution. I'd read some other books about dealing with entities and this one is much more true to how it really is.

Seems as though the book has opened my senses up to feel the energies of spirit. Like the book has given my Consciousness permission to acknowledge the energies, always knew they were there, just never could sense before reading the book. Probably will continue to re-read until I get a sure sense of the energies. Loved Book!

Great addition for any fans of Daria

If you ever enjoyed watching the TV show Daria, and want something to remember it by, consider buying this book. It's 2012, the show has been over for a decade and I doubt this book will ever be in print again. The book contains lots of original artwork and messages to and from various characters in the show. It's not designed to be an encyclopedia of the show - there are fan websites that contain far more detail of the show than a paperback book from 1998 can cover. If you're a fan of Daria or know someone who is, you should probably grab a copy of The Daria Database while you still can.

this isn't a book for those who aren't fans of the dariaverse, nor is it for those wanting to familiarize themselves with all things daria.

this is purely a book for the fans who wish to engulf themselves in the amazing show that is and was "Daria"

I leave it in my car for when i need a bit of amusement. it's a fairly short read, but it's jam packed with art-work, letters, and all sort of little tidbits from Daria, jane, Trent, Quinn, Helen, Jake, kevin and brittany, etc.

I can't believe I didn't get this book sooner! Not only is it really fun to read about the character we know and love/loathe in typical Daria fashion, but it makes a great companion to the TV series (which will FINALLY be on DVD May 11th!). This book is definitely worth checking out if you haven't already!

One of the best botanical books.

Plant Form has been out of print for a long time, so I was excited to see it released as a new edition (2008). I have been wanting to get a copy of this book for a while, and was thoroughly impressed when I finally got my hands on the new edition.

Why have I been wanting to get a copy of this book for so long?

First; this book is unique in its approach describing flowering plant morphology (i.e., comparative anatomy) according to the "big picture." This book does not include the typical cellular structures and details typical of so many college textbooks on morphology. Instead, one is immersed in the vegetative characters one finds when actually walking up to a plant. This book focuses from the perspective of a hand lens all the way up to tree architecture. Plant Form is as required for to those interested in plant systematics as for those in plant ecology.

Second; the plants used for examples in this book are exceptional. This book is not a dry catergorization of plant parts; stems, leaves, ... No, this book includes examples of curiosities and odd-balls from all across the botanical world, which really serves to elucidate the subtleties of plant morphology. Many of these fascinating topics I have found only in specialized courses on tropical plant morphology, all of which lacked textbooks.

Third; Plant Form, while potentially useful for a specialized course in botany, is interesting to everyone. Literally, everyone. No formal or technical knowledge is necessary; no small feat as the science of botany is famous for its vast lexicon based on Latin and Greek. What really makes this book so interesting is its great drawings and photographs which immediately draws one into the diverse world of plants. Plant Form is one of the best coffee-table books around.

Case in point, it doesn't matter whether you are a professional botanist, amateur naturalist, avid gardener, or an artist who likes painting plants. You will love this book.
But if you are a professional or budding botanist, you need to get a copy.

As for problems with Plant Form, the only problem I have noticed is the omission of family names for the species mentioned in the text (family names are in the index). But this is really a trifling problem, barely worth mentioning. Great Book.

Great illustrations, lack of labels/descriptions and horrible organization of text.

Great illustrations, horrible organization of text. I bought this book as a plant enthusiast, someone who has never taken botany or plant physiology classes (beyond what's covered in general and cell biology). I was attracted to the book because it is supposed to be an illustrated guide to morphology, thus I figured it would be a good place to start to learn about plant anatomy. While there are illustrations or photos on nearly every page, the author does a TERRIBLE job labeling/describing/explaining the illustrations. Many illustrations do not have descriptions (neither below nor in the accompanying text). This is my primary complaint.

The other major problem is that the author seemed to be more focused on citing different page numbers and cross referencing than actually explaining terms, illustrations or concepts. This was quite frustrating in the beginning, because I was not familiar with lot of the terms and I had no idea what the numbers in parentheses were referring to. For example: on page 143 "Leaf production may be out of phase with stem elongation (329K)", 329K is referring to page 329, illustration K. Having over 10 references to different pages in the book on almost every page makes it a little overwhelming.

As I mentioned, the organization of the text leaves something to be desired and it is frustrating when I can not find explanations to illustrations (at least not where one would expect them: in the text of the same section or below the illustration). For example, on page 129 there is an image of different types of tree root architecture. There are 12 illustrations, labelled A-K. Illustrations B,I,J and L are completely lacking descriptions - therefore I see the illustration, but I have no idea what is being illustrated. The illustrations are not described in the text regarding tree root architecture on page 128. It is not until one arrives at page 132, where if you have a keen eye and haven't completely given up, you will find an description of the previously unlabeled illustrations buried in the text on this page. This is one specific example of what you will encounter on EVERY page of this book. Therefore, if you are patient and willing to flip back and forth and navigate through poorly organized text and poorly labeled illustrations, you will find good and interesting content.
