POWER TO THE PEOPLE with Carl Christman's New Book!

Mr. Christman cleanly gives you the skinny on two tools for interaction: He teaches you now to 'scope out' others' intentions so you know how the wind blows...and teaches you many subtle ways to influence them in their actions...depending on what YOU want.
Invaluable to the salesman, teacher, guide, etc. Well worth the loot, and powerful stuff when you apply the information in the book. It brings back the old '60's slogan in a new way: Power To The People!

Fascinating Take on How We Humans Work!

I just finished reading Carl Christman’s “How to Read Minds & Influence People”.
I found the book a very interesting and informative read. While many of the concepts explored may not be revelatory, the way that are put into context and with actionable steps and real word examples, make this a compelling book. Though covering a number of scientific topics, the book is very easy to read and comprehend for us non-sciency types.
Some great examples are used to illustrate many of the points in the book. I particularly found the Coke/Pepsi story extremely interesting.
As someone who keeps finding himself in various sales roles, despite a lifetime aversion to being considered a ’salesman’, the ideas brought forth in the book are so intriguing that I wish I had more of an opportunity to try this stuff out. May have to call that used car lot with the help wanted sign this weekend.
However, as the author says, even those who aren’t ‘sales people’ by title, will benefit from a better understanding of how our ‘audiences’ think & respond in order to better communicate with them. These audiences include bosses, kids, significant others, etc., making this applicable to most humans in some way or another.
I was little curious/concerned about the word ‘influence’ in the book's title as it may imply a negative concept (i.e. coercion), but as explained, it is really intended to result in a mutually beneficial exchange. This is accomplished by learning to communicate so that your message gets past the prospects ‘filters’ based on the ability to read their personality. Good life skills if you ask me.
I recommend this book to anyone who might benefit from a better understanding of people and what causes them to think or behave in a certain way. It is also a good reference book with lists of certain personality types and has some fun ‘tests’ for the reader to asses their own skills in the areas explored.

Highly recommended for anyone that wants a real look into the minds of others and learn the art of mastering the perfect sale. After many years of selling and countless hours in professional training seminars, Carl wraps up everything in a fun and exciting way that doesn't make you want to put it down! Definitely on the top of my list for all salespeople (traditional and nontraditional), new and old!
