About the Author
Charlotte Stewart is an actress with a 50 year career in television and film. She is best known for her role as schoolteacher Miss Beadle in the classic 1970s television series "Little House on the Prairie" as well as for her role as Betty Briggs in the iconic television show "Twin Peaks," a role she will reprise in the 2017 "Twin Peaks" reboot on showtime. Her film career includes roles in films such as Eraserhead, Tremors, and Cheyenne Social Club.

Amazing story, amazing woman!

Charlotte Stewart has amazed me with her story. She has proven that there is so much more to her than just the iconic characters that she has played. This book is a must read for all Little House, Twin Peaks, and Eraserhead fans. Charlotte is brutally honest in this no holds barred memoir.

Fun book

This was a fun book to read. Stewart's breezy approach is very appealing. I lost track of how many celebrities she rubbed shoulders with, and sometimes more, in her years in Hollywood. It was so interesting to read her memoirs of the LHOP show as an adult. I've read all the child actors' books who played in the show. Stewart's book is right up there next to Alison Arngrim's as my favorite. I remember watching Tremors for the first time and thinking 'there's Miss Beadle on a roof, in the middle of nowhere.'
Read this book to get the scoop on good stuff!

Fascinating look behind the curtain at Hollywood in the 60s and beyond

This was a really interesting novel from Charlotte Stewart not only about her life (as a human and as an actress) but also about her battle with alcoholism and her recovery.
I really loved the easy way this read - there was not a lot of jumping around in time or flashbacks. It's all mostly chronologically told from her childhood through her current life.
Of course most will pick this book up to read more about the behind the scenes stories from Little House On the Prairie as this is the first memoir from one of the adults points of views. It's definitely worth it for that but she doesn't dig TOO deep into it (for that, head over and pick up Alison Arngrim's book on that, so so so good). She does devote a little bit of time though and what's nice is you get to hear about the actors and actresses before and after the show as well and how it's been like with the resurgence of all of the fan events.
Charlotte's life has been utterly fascinating and inspiring and I am so glad that I happened upon this memoir!
